U.S. Stock Market – With QE 2.5 announced yesterday, I continue to believe the least resistance for the stock market until further notice is up. I’m by no means a bull, but it’s not what you make at times but what you don’t lose (and bears have been getting killed shorting since 2009) that matters (And being much more aggressively long in gold and silver has been the best choice).

U.S. Bonds – While the Fed’s 24/7 printing press may keep interest rates low for now, one of these days the bond vigilantes shall conclude the end game is hyperinflation and bonds shall go into the crapper. U.S. bonds IMHO shall be the worse investment for the next decade (and equities the lesser of two evils).

U.S. Dollar – The wimpy bear market rally can’t get much above 80 on the U.S. Dollar Index. While the rabbit didn’t die (U.S. Dollar), it remains in critical condition.

Gold and Silver – What can I say (past comments here) that I haven’t said over and over? Where did all those bearish forecasters (and the media that gives them carte-blance over and over again without questioning their constant wrong forecasts) gone? Back to their little holes and shall return after the next serious correction above $2,000 gold and $50 silver.

Oil and Natural Gas – I Like oil and avoid natural gas until further notice.

Grandich Clients

Alderon Iron Ore – Port access and off-take agreement are the next two objectives the market is awaiting word on and I’ve every reason to believe they won’t be disappointed. The son of Consolidated Thompson appears ready to make daddy proud.

Argus Metals – Its latest Yukon results have signaled it’s on to something significant. Low share price and market cap is a challenge for financing but company has other options too.

Cap-Ex Ventures – I saw the drill map for 2012 and…. Wow! There’s a great deal of excitement and it all starts next month when road show by new CEO begins. How hard shall it be for him to convince people on CEV when he was in the forefront to the last big winner they had with him? It would come as no surprise that the share price reached a new high by the time drills begin in the spring.

Crosshair Energy – The combination of uranium sentiment turning up again and CXX demonstrating its well on its way to becoming a producer, makes for a most interesting 2012.

Crescent Resources – Awaiting management’s decision on what and where it shall be focus on going forward.

Donner Metals – CEO David Patterson noted in his talk in Vancouver that it’s quite frustrating to be trading around $.20 and believing their cash flow within next year or so when mine is up and running can be around $.11 a share. Assuming they’ve to fund last obligation all in equity, its still way undervalued on future cash flow projections.

Enertopia Corp – Looking to raise funds for drilling a very early stage but quite interesting target.

Excelsior Mining – I had an extensive update on MIN and am as confident as ever that my very large personal holding is worthy and shall be rewarded. Chairman Mark Morabito continues to buy significant amount of shares in the open market and was emphatic about the wealth and depth of future developments at the company. Stay tuned.

Garibaldi Resources Corp – Management says news flow should greatly improve in 2012. Fingers and toes crossed.

Geologix Explorations – The more one looks at GIX, the more impressive it seems to be. An updated presentation is here.

Heatherdale Resources – With the merger now behind them, we could start to see re-ratings among the analysts who follow it and new ones as the numbers look pretty good not too far down the road.

Lithium One – Read

Northcliff Resources – In that quiet period between exploration, development, then production.

Northern Dynasty Minerals – Will my “albatross’ finally get wings or will it remain a turkey that can’t fly? I wish I knew the answer.

Oromin Explorations – Not a word since noting it was in possible takeover/merger talks in December. One would assume such talks remain or else the ending of such talks would be noted? Stay tuned!

Rathdowney Resources – It appears the main emphasis for the company shall be Poland. Further drill news is due.

Ridgemont Iron Ore – Decent drill results just announced and company says it’s looking at other iron-ore projects.

Spanish Mountain Gold – I came away from my meeting with CEO Brian Groves quite pumped. Their main project continues to surprise to the upside.

Sunridge Gold – Seems to be under serious accumulation and news flow is anticipated to flow strongly starting soon.

Timmins Gold – I came away from my company update feeling they are either going to be acquired or do some acquiring themselves. Either way, higher shareholder value seems to be in their future.

Wits Gold – Please read

Zone Resources – I asked CEO Charles Desjardins yesterday what did he think of their latest drill results:

“Today’s result further establishes the potential of the Moore-Ross Iron Property,” stated Charles Desjardins, President of Zone Resources Inc., “Moore-Ross was the first target in our 2011 drill program based on it having the strongest historical data of our four properties in the Labrador Trough. Our main focus in the first half of 2012 will be the Girard Iron Ore Property, for which we already have two strong assay results, 75km of favorable magnetic anomalies, and the potential for DSO (Direct shipping ore).”

Tracking List

I continue to favor uranium plays and while I may have been several months early, it’s better than being a day too late! Mining and exploration shares continue to be where speculators/gamblers can hopefully take advantage of sharply rising precious metals prices and base metals that for the most part, appeared to have bottomed or are doing rather well like copper.

Please Note – The offices of Grandich Publications and Trinity Financial, Sports & Entertainment Management Company shall be closed from December 10, 2011 to January 3, 2012. Blog postings shall be limited during this period.

U.S. Stock Market – Once again it was proven that there are three guarantees in life:

1 – Death

2 – Taxes

3 – The “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” crowd on Wall Street shall milk their greatest fable for all its worth – the “Santa Claus Rally”.

As noted in recent comments, I had taken out a temporary membership in the “happy” camp. And while the “Tis the season to be jolly and long” can continue to the New Year thanks to decreasing volume and interest, my long-term outlook remains the same (but I shall not be the Grinch (Grandich) that stole Christmas and leave discussing this for the New Year).

Gold – I’ve just two things to say about gold:

1 – The “Mother” of all gold bull markets continues.

2 – $2,000+ in 2012 is a question of when, not if.

U.S. Bonds – Avoid. I believe it can be the worse investment for the next decade.

U.S. Dollar – The European fiasco gave a reprieve to the condemned world reserve currency. Sadly, it shall make its demise even uglier.

Oil and Natural Gas – $100 is likely to become the floor for oil in 2012 as multiple time bombs in the Middle East are set to explode. Much more ample supply of natural gas than I thought would come available has tempered my bullishness towards natural gas and I suspect we shall see a $3.50 – $5 trading range until if and when one or more of the Middle East time bombs detonate.

Grandich Client List

Abacus Mining & Exploration – Awaiting news.

Alderon Iron Ore – In my highly bias mind, a no-brainer double+ in 2012 from here (I presently own 700,000 shares and am looking to buy up to 300k more).

Argus Metals Corp – The good news – worthy drill results gives real hope for future. Bad news – very low share price makes raising capital a challenge. Thankfully, management appears dedicated to get the job done.

Cap –Ex Ventures – Has vaulted to near the top of iron-ore plays worldwide. I suspect management is counting the days and hours to when their next drill season begins. Look for base-building around $1 and then probes towards old highs as drilling season draws closer.

Crescent Resources – Awaiting word from management on its plans for the future.

Crosshair Explorations – Look for their U.S. projects to be their flagship in 2012 and beyond.

Donner Metals – Sometimes I think Rodney Dangerfield got more respect than DON does. Here’s to becoming a true producer in 2012 and beyond.

Donnybrook Energy – Awaiting update from company.

Enertopia Corp – An interesting junior who not only has a grass-roots exploration project, but a budding clean energy division.

Excelsior Mining - Read

Garibaldi Corp – Management stated they expect to have more drilling news in 2012.

Heatherdale Resources – This interview tells the story as of today.

Northcliff Resources – Read

Northern Dynasty Minerals – Here’s to my albatross not getting its wings clipped in 2012 and instead soar like an Eagle.

Oromin Explorations – I can’t add anything more than what the company said in this release. This article ran this morning.

Rathdowney Resources – I anticipate a much higher profile in 2012 as drill results hopefully demonstrate real potential for success.

Ridgemont Iron Ore – Read

Spanish Mountain Gold – if only all my clients progressed as well in 2011. Looking good for 2012 and beyond.

Sunridge Gold – Read (I raised my million share buy order to $.35 yesterday afternoon).

Timmins Gold – One of the better emerging producers in the world today.

Tracking List

Taseko Mines – News surrounding its proposed Prosperity Mine is the flavor of the day at the moment but the stock appears very undervalued (former client of Grandich Publications).

Nevsun Resources – A cash making machine that is likely to expand out of Eritrea through acquisitions if they aren’t taken over first.

Barrick Gold, Goldcorp, Kinross Gold and Newmont are good core major producer holdings. GDX and GDXJ offer decent representation of majors and juniors respectively. Great Basin Gold remains attractive at $1.10 or under. SLV is how I like playing silver bullion.

Finally, I do think uranium stocks were way over done to the downside in 2011 and look for a much better 2012. My list remains over weighted in this area.

U.S. Stock Market – The U.S. stock market is in the eye of an economic, social, political and spiritual hurricane that first hit its shores in 2008. Eventually, what has been seen in Europe shall be but an “opening act” to what shall play out here in America. In the meantime, yours truly took out a “temporary” membership card in the “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” crowd, but know it shall likely expire once Santa is safely back and resting at the North Pole.

Gold – “Mother” of all gold bull markets continues. The gold perma-bears and weak-kneed bulls shall once again find only coal in their Christmas stockings.

U.S. Bonds – Avoid just like one should avoid buying any pictures of Roberto Luongo hoisting the Stanley Cup – they’re both pipedreams.

U.S. Dollar – A faint blip up in the U.S. economy and the Euro mess has allowed the terminally ill Uncle Sam currency to stay in a fairly tight trading range. I’m looking for new lows for the dollar in 2012 and beyond.

Oil and Natural Gas – I’ve moved up my bottom range for oil from $75 to $85 and continue to believe we shall see $100+ before the ball falls in Times Square. The more natural gas is under $4 the more I like it.

Grandich Publications Clients

Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp – In a quiet period that hopefully shall end before too long.

Alderon Iron Ore – If you think 2011 was good, 2012 IMHO can be even better.

Argus Metals Corp – Some flashes of greatness but still has a lot of work ahead of it to end up the exception to the rule.

Cap-Ex Ventures – The stars seem to be lining up for it. Stay tuned.

Crosshair – The Company is doing much better South of the Border. I suspect it shall become a U.S. story in 2012 and beyond.

Crescent Resources – Back near square one and awaiting word from the Company on it plans on moving off the square.

Donner Metals – It’s so close to becoming one of the small minority of juniors who make it all the way to production, one can taste it. Here’s to David Patterson’s tireless efforts bearing full fruit.

Donnybrook Energy – I’ve no special insight but I think come this time next year the company may no longer be independent.

Enertopia Corp – Please read this.

Excelsior Mining – One should always be aware of my potential conflicts of interest and biases: my 2.5 million shares ownership of MIN shares (that can change at any time) and my extreme fondness for Mark Morabito and the Exploration Group must be fully understood when taking into account anything I say. Having said that, I’m anticipating a banner year for MIN in 2012, and its long base-building around $.60 is setting the stage for the share price to move to much higher levels if the sizzle can turn into steak.

Garibaldi Resources – Not much info out in 2011. I hope to see management while I’m in Vancouver.

Heatherdale Resources – Better days in 2012 are the plan. Fingers and toes crossed.

Northcliff Resources – It remained rather quiet in 2011, but I have a good feeling that can change in 2012.

Northern Dynasty Minerals – It has been my albatross… but if it’s everything we had hoped for (but have been disappointed or sidetracked for what now feels like an eternity), it should start to bare fruit in 2012 (hoping it’s not just sour grapes)

Oromin Explorations – Another client I think that, come this time next year, may no longer be independent.

Rathdowney Explorations – Like its sister company Northcliff, I’m optimistic it can awaken in 2012.

Ridgemont Iron Ore – Please read.

Silver Quest Resources – I will be meeting with CEO Randy Turner while in Vancouver.

Spanish Mountain Gold – I had a good chat with Chairman Ian Watson and the future appears bright at SPA.

Sunridge Gold – In all my years speculating/gambling in juniors, no one company’s share price has ever seemingly been more separated from company fundamentals than SGC. Here’s to them coming much more aligned in 2012.

Timmins Gold – Trading in the U.S. should only help this emerging gold producer.

Please Note

Curis Resources - My working relationship with Curis Resources ends shortly and while I’m still overall positive on them, my personal holdings and working relationship with Excelsior Mining has come to a point where I can’t fairly service CUV. I wish them well.

Formation Metals- After first working for Formation Metals back in the 90s, and on and off since then, I no longer have the appropriate confidence one needs to effectively do the job and have resigned effective at months-end.

Tracking List

I’m comfortable holding most of the major mining producers on my list as I’m looking for gold and silver to continue working their way higher for the balance on 2011 and into 2012.

Uranium stocks are clearly contrarian plays as the vast majority of experts who not too-long ago saw $150 or even $200+ uranium prices now can’t see prices getting out of their way for as far as the eye can see. This suits me fine.

Ideally, the $2.20 area would offer a good entry point to add to or make TMM a part of a emerging gold producer buy list. A “lone” Research Analyst negative slant recently and a small hiccup in production combined to lead TMM share price back down towards a very attractive long term entry point in the coming days.
