At 8PM EST tonight, the first ever kickoff at the new Meadowlands Stadium will take place between the NY Giants Vs. NY Jets. At halftime, several former NY Jets will be inducted into a new “Ring of Fire” at the stadium. Among them will be Joe Klecko. I’m honored to have been invited to be there.

Despite being truly a meaningless game, it’s emotion for me to see my all-time sports hero and best friend Joe Klecko be recognized. But for my friends, it’s even more interesting in that they will want to know who I’m rooting for. You see I started rooting for the NY Jets back in 1969. I’ve several friends on the Jets, including Dave Szott (Head of Player Development and a advisory board member of my company). Earlier this decade, I began working with the NY Giants via bible study and chapel. Friends from both side want to know who is my allegiance to?

My answer is always the same – I’m a Joe Klecko fan first. The Giants and Jets battle for second and third. Some don’t believe that and feel I will show my true alliance in the heat of the battle. We shall see, won’t we?
